How are the Devices evaluated?

The devices are evaluated using a special software called iTools. This software makes sure the model is correct and tests all functionality of the device. Once we have finished we manually grade the phone to be flawless, good, cracked screen only, or damaged. We assess the physical condition of the device to see if the category you selected matches its description. We look to see for scratches, dents, etc. We also look to see if the device is real or counterfeit, as well as check if there was any tampering done to the item. Your item(s) is then checked for water damage. Lastly, we look to make sure that all passwords are removed so we can reset your phone and wipe out all personal information, we prefer you wipe out all personal data yourself before sending the device to us. If your evaluation is accurate, we will send you the money in the method you choose. If not, we will offer you a new price, which you can accept, or ask for your device back. What if I do not agree with the evaluation of my phone?

At least two of our specialists evaluate each device. If the evaluations do not match, we select the one that favors the customer. If you do not agree with the evaluation of your phone, you can ask for a re-evaluation where a fresh pair of eyes will evaluate your phone and see if they agree with the evaluation that was done already or if they can bring up the offer amount. If you are not satisfied we will return your device back. If you receive an email from us with a re-quoted offer, please let us know if you’d like to accept or reject it as soon as possible. If we don’t hear back from you within 1 week of the initial email, we’ll send you a payment reflective of the re-quoted offer amount and process your device for resale.

What happens if GadgetGone doesn’t agree with the offer details I submitted?

If what we find doesn’t match up with what you told us about your device, we will email you our findings and provide you with options to move forward. In some cases, we may email you with a re-quoted offer amount. For example: if you stated that your device was in “flawless” condition but we found some scratches on it, we would inform you of these findings and offer you our “good” price instead.

What if I am unsure of the model of my device?

Most items have their model type or number on the inside of the phone under the battery.

iPhone models can be found under the Settings – General – About – Model number. If you search this model number on Google you will find out the exact model of your iPhone.

If you still aren’t able to figure out what item you have, contact us via email, Whatsapp or give us a call and one of our representatives will be more than happy to assist you.

How and when will I get paid?

We currently offer three methods of payment – Check, PayPal, and Cash in person. You’ll be asked to indicate your preference. Your payment will be sent to you when we receive and inspect your device which is typically within 1 business day of receiving your device.

What should I do if I haven’t received my payment?

Once we have inspected your device, we typically issue the payment within 1 business day of receipt. You will receive an email notifying you of the payment along with the confirmation number for each payment.
Please be aware that the time it takes for you to receive your payment will vary and depend on your preferred method of payment. Checks will be mailed USPS 1st Class, and PayPal transfers are usually instant or within 24 hours. We pay cash instantly on the spot during in-person meetings after device evaluation.

What do I need to send in to get the quoted offer amount?

Depending on which item you have selected, you may have the option of selecting the accessories that you are including with your package. If you don’t want to include any accessories, you do not need to send any accessories in. If you select headphones, for example, we will expect to see a pair of headphones. For any items in the “New” condition, we expect all accessories to be included as we pay a premium for these items.

What do I do with my accessories/cases?

If you would like to keep your accessories/cases whether or not the offer is approved, please be sure to NOT ship that in. Once we receive your item, all cases/SIM cards/SD cards will be recycled. If you ask for the item back, we try our level best to keep all your accessories/cases with the device, however, it is possible that we will not be able to locate the missing accessories and if such, we will not be held liable. Devices with required chargers will be returned to you.

Is my package Insured?

No. If you require additional insurance, you would need to purchase your shipping directly from USPS. Please note that we will not be held liable for any damages incurred due to inadequate packaging.

What if my item is damaged in shipping?

It is your responsibility to make sure that your devices are fully secure when you ship them. If a package is received and looks to have been damaged due to mishandling, we return the package without opening it. However, if the box is secure and does not look as though anything happened during transit and the item inside was not secure, we will offer you an amount based on the condition we receive the phone.
